![]() ![]() In any case, it is a good idea to do, so in case your hdd fails and you cant recover online eg because you have no internet. I've read if you buy Mountain Lion you download this image file that you use to install Mountain Lion, but we haven't the option to buy Mountain Lion, he just need the system his mac came withĪpart from online recovery, basically the only option is to make an image yourself if it isn't on the recovery partition. So, I've read it is possible to burn a disk of the Lion image, but he doesn't even have an image of Lion, the iMac came just with Lion installed (and he bought it new) I've read of the option of using the recovery partition, cmd-R at start up, but that option needs internet, which is not an option we have. He doesn't have any Lion DVD, the mac didn't came with Lion disks included. Now, considering I don't want to get the Mountain Lion upgrade considering Pro Tools is not yet fully compatible, nor Adobe Premier (he uses it), I'd like to be able to do a clean install with Lion ![]() The problem is, I'm setting up the mac of a friend in my band, and he has an iMac which had Lion installed but I know here many people uses mac, so maybe I can find an answer or some link, here Sorry for asking this here, but I don't know nor I'm registered in any mac forums. ![]()
